Spring In Miami: Where To Eat, Play & Stay!
As frequent as I visit, there’s no denying that Miami is my ultimate favorite city in the United States. A destination that can fit most budgets, with so much to do, I recently made a visit with Greater Miami to share with you an updated 4-day itinerary.
Day 1-Arrival
Stay @ The Sagamore Hotel
Nestled on the ever popular Collins Avenue and Lincoln Road, The Sagamore is a prime location for anyone visiting. This family-owned boutique hotel has been a lavish, sandy-shore, South Beach oceanfront destination since the Art Deco days. I stayed in a two floor bungalow equipped with soaking tub, powder room, king size bed and balcony. This cultural centerpiece also features an art gallery on the property with rotating exhibits. Relax poolside on a cabana or play pool in the lobby.

Eat @ Amalia
Easily added as one of my favorite restaurants in Miami. Amalia at The Lennox Hotel in Miami’s Art Deco district brings us new Mediterranean dishes with Spanish, Argentinian, and Moroccan accents. Everything we had was delectable and worth packing on extra calories for. The food here is made from farm-fresh produce and locally sourced meats and seafood. The brussel sprouts was like no other and I highly recommend the getting the lamb cooked medium. Spicy margs are my go-to for drinks here.

Day 2
Play @ Treetop Trekking
An exhilarating experience for an adventure seeker. Good for children and adults alike, you have the opportunity to go through various obstacle courses that test your mental and physical skills. Immerse yourself into nature with different difficulty level courses that have over 55 elements and seven zip-lines. Be sure to wear your most comfortable attire and closed toe attire.

Eat @ Bakan
For some Mexican cuisine with an earthy, stylish atmosphere, Bakan in Wynwood is your choice. For tacos, mezcals, margaritas, and churros, this restaurant prides itself on using the freshest ingredients. I loved the watermelon spicy margarita.

Play @ Wynwood Walls
Visited by hundred of thousands of people each year, Wynwood Walls is a must visit. Over 50 murals of exotic art, brought to you by respected street artists from Asia, Europe, Latin America and United States plaster the walls of this outdoor museum. Be sure to snap to capture memories at your favorite because the installments change every few months. Wynwood Walls is a staple of this district.

Play @ Paradox Museum
Feel like a kid again at the the Paradox Museum. This place will have you saying “woah” and “wow” all throughout the different mind-twisting, eye-tricking rooms. From the upside down workout room to feeling like you’ve been shrunk, the mind blowing possibilities are endless. Aside from being totally fun, you will learn the science behind paradoxes. Don’t forget to request a song in the piano room.

Eat @ Strawberry Moon
Inside one of Miami’s newest hot hotel, The Goodtime Hotel, Strawberry Moon brings Art Deco touches to life with their decor. Their mediterranean menu offers some classic staples. I went with my easy go-to lobster and finished off with a really good panna cotta. Every Wednesday they have a comedy show worth checking out.

Day 3
Play @ Museum of Illusions
More than just a photo-op, but a hilariously great time with your own creative imagination. The Museum of Illusions have over 40 3D exhibits to create unique memories. This two part museum also have a fun “Smash It” room, where you can write down anything from what’s bothering you something to funny and shattering it on the wall.

Eat @ Jaya
This eclectic restaurant feels like you’re walking into a whole new world. My first time coming here I gave it 1 star. This time around was much better. Jaya at The Setai Miami Beach fuse South Asian dishes accented with classic Indian spices and American favorites. This upscale, beautiful space sets a new dining experience. We came for lunch, which was great because this place gets crowded at night with live flame throwing performances. The lunch menu is a great way to save while having this luxurious experience with 3-courses for only $34. My all time favorite dish will forever be the salmon.

Stay @ Mayfair House Hotel and Garden
For the traveler who enjoys low-key neighborhoods and authentic culture, you have to check out Mayfair House Hotel and Garden, located in Coconut Grove, one of the oldest neighborhood in Miami. With a posh rooftop, delicious food, and expansive rooms this hotel has so much to offer. A beautiful change of pace from what I am used to when I visit Miami.

Play @ Rooftop Cinema Club
This was one of my favorite things to do. Ditch the ideal dark movie theater and watch the latest movies or cult classic on a cozy lawn with lots of leg room. This memorable experience allows you to watch a beautiful movie under sunsets, starlit evenings, and with city skylines. We watched Black Panther 2 in this unique way, complete with theater snacks and drinks (alcohol & non-alcoholic). Be sure to bring a long sleeve shirt as it can get chilly at night in Miami.

Day 4
Play & Eat @ Little Havana Foodie Tour
A culinary adventure through one of Miami’s liveliest neighborhood. Little Havana, named after the migrants from Havana, Cuba is home to many small businesses and authentic eateries. Take a walk while grabbing some small bites and learning the history along the way.

Play @ Vizcaya Museum & Gardens
You’ve probably seen this gorgeous garden on Pinterest. Vizcaya Museum & Garden is an expansive indoor/outdoor museum on over 10 acres of beauty. This Italian Renaissance-style mansion is a completely different feel from the modern areas of Miami. Your photos here will surely garner some inquiring minds, wondering if you traveled back to 1916.

Eat @ Higher Ground
Who doesn’t love a chic rooftop to enjoy meticulously-infused cocktails and snacks. Higher Ground at The Arlo Hotel in Wynwood is one to add to your list, for a great vibe and colorful ambiance.

Eat @ MAYAMI Mexicantina
Another eye-catching restaurant and lounge with Tulum aesthetics is, Mayami. This enormous trendy outdoor space transport you to ancient Mayan times with up-to-date accents. Complete with live music, performances, and even hookah this place transforms at night. Mayami is great for large groups as they have the space for it. My favorite dish was the fried snapper that came out as nuggets for easy dipping. Definitely a spot to enjoy.

P.S. Let me know which one of these places you are adding to your Miami bucket list!
Xoxo,
The Rich Aunt
Disclaimer: I was hosted by Visit Miami, however, as always, all opinions are my own.
I found the Aliexpress vacation goodies, so you don’t have to! Enjoy, and thank me later =)
The event that marks the summer is officially back after a 3-year hiatus. The Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic is returning to Liberty State Park this June!
As we grow older, our taste level should grow. Here are a few of my favorite places to eat in Miami. I have even included some restaurants I am not the biggest fan of, but my friends love it, just in case your tastebuds are more aligned with theirs lol.

Senegal owes me nothing! A week was still too short for me, but a time was had! I was also able to experience a new country, The Gambia, which borders Senegal. Keep reading to get into this trip!
It’s been a while since I’ve been on a long haul vacation. What I love most about longer vacations is the variety of outfits I can serve. I spent a total of 9 days between Senegal and The Gambia. Here are some looks you can achieve on your next vacation.
What’s a girl to do when she doesn’t want to spend her entire 7 day vacation in Barcelona? Book a quick flight to Marrakech for just $35 roundtrip.
Tamarind Hills is the perfect home away from home with single rooms and villas with up to 4 bedrooms. This property is the kind of property where your wish is their command. There is nothing that too grand for them to take care of while you are a guest here.
What’s the best excursion for ANY foodie?
One that includes food of course! I have traveled globally and I have never experienced a food excursion quite like Eat N’ Lime Food Tour in Antigua. I have done cooking classes, bar crawls, taste samples, but none has compared to what I experienced on this tour. The flavors, the lessons, the portions, the history was *chef’s kiss* exquisite!
When traveling are you someone that looks forward to tasting the finest cuisines?
If St. Lucia isn’t on your list of places to travel to then you need to add it ASAP! From the views to the food, the experience is priceless. One of my favorite places to dine while there was Mange Tree Restaurant at Stonefield Villas Resort. If you’re looking to try the BEST rum punch, then this is where you need to be!
No trip to St. Lucia is complete without seeing the beautiful pitons. What if you could wake up to them every morning? I found the most tranquil property. Hotel Chocolat St. Lucia is the perfect blend of eye-catching, abstract, modern architecture mixed with warm classic accents.
St. Lucia is known for its sun kissed beaches and twin pitons. I remember the first time I saw the incredible view of the formed rocks and knew that I wanted to wake up there someday. St. Lucia is becoming a Caribbean hotspot and it is completely worth the plane ticket
I spent a wonderful week soaking up the sun rays on the remarkable island of Roatan, Honduras. A much-needed getaway to say the least, with the emergence of the way we vacationed pre-pandemic. With that being said, what is a vacation without vacation looks? Here is everything I wore and some inspo for your future travels.
We all have those places we’ve been wanting to visit for years. Honduras was one of those places for me. I remember when I first some Instagrammers taking pictures with baby jaguars at a rescue center and sky blue waters, I thought “aw, that would be nice to see”…
As a skincare junkie and future licensed esthetician, having a proper skincare routine at home is a #MAJORKEY. Keeping up your routine while traveling is just as important because when it comes to getting your skin balanced, CONSISTENCY IS KEY!
In today’s efforts to combat overconsumption and become more sustainable, a lot of people are turning to vintage and pre-owned items. This isn’t something that is new for me, as I literally shop anywhere that sells clothes. However, when making certain purchases I do find it more valuable to be to go the vintage route.
The COVID-19 pandemic is presenting new challenges this holiday season. Americans have been warned against traveling by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and many people have resigned themselves to not seeing their loved ones for the festivities this year. However, you can still celebrate "together" even if you aren't really together.
Have you seen scroll-stopping pictures of the gorgeous former Versace Mansion in Miami? The iconic mansion where Gianni himself lived has now turned into a museum for tourists and visitors. Giving all around luxuries vibes many people dream of witnessing the colorful Versace tiled pool and mosaic designs in person.
Sometimes I look at the items with tags and think to myself “I could’ve invested in Amazon stocks with that” or that money could’ve gone towards something that I really really want.
Mexico is one of the few countries that allow U.S. citizens to enter without a Covid test as well as no mandatory quarantine. Cabo is known for its high profile visitors such as Will Smith and the Kar-Jenner clan, but these days even a Z-list celeb like me can enjoy the luxe lifestyle.

Everyone knows I’m #TeamWig over any other hairstyle. My reasoning will always be the quick versatility. Human hair are the best wigs; however they are costly. Synthetic wigs get a bad rep, but I’m here to say they’re great for occasions.
