Louis Vuitton literally set the holiday season off in New York City. A reason to be home, and a reason to make that visit you’ve been long thinking of.

During my daily social media check in’s, I’ve been seeing images of the colorful Louis Vuitton Stephen Sprouse grafitti logo and a pretty cool Louis Vuitton train station stop plastered everywhere. Though this event was free, there were crowds and long lines all the time, something I don’t have the energy for. So when my SA enlightened me that there’s also a reservation system with time slots so we wouldn’t have to wait in line I was ecstatic. In addition to this reservation system, walk-in’s are also welcomed.

Having just got back from Iceland a couple days ago I was exhausted, but this would probably be the best time to go, as I can get additional information from an employee. So I hopped in my jeep, snapped a selfie to update Snapchat on my moves (did it happen if I did n’t post to snapchat?) and headed to VVV. Volez, Voguez, Voyagez Exhibition is about the House of Louis Vuitton, the evolution of the brand through the evolution of travel. Two of my favorite things combined, travel and fashion. This exhibition really gave me a more respected sense for the brand, seeing its humble beginnings to a billion dollar fashion house. Curated by Olivier Saillard, the exhibition told the story and growth of the French luxury House of Louis Vuitton from 1854 to the present. Being inspired by the travel industry, Louis Vuitton created huge high quality luxury trunks for the rich and famous in the 1800’s for train traveling to downsizing and creating beautiful duffels to fit on planes. The story was truly amazing to learn, with everything being on display including original receipt books to original photos. The exhibition takes you through a time machine from the past to the present showing his creations of that time. It was mind blowing how everything was preserved to perfection.

I love how they shared popular designs from the creative director of that time and even the Louis Vuitton X Supreme collaboration. A few of the pieces even brought back nostalgic memories such as the miroir collection that I used to see Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian wear back in the day. The exhibition was truly inspiring and I encourage everyone to visit even if you aren’t into fashion. The history alone will move you in a positive way.

At the end there is even a gift shop where you can purchase accessories like stickers, city guides and even a limited edition luggage tag. On your way out there are one of three Louis Vuitton X Pintrill pins that you get for free as you exit. The exhibition is now through January 7, 2018. Grab your tickets here and enjoy! xoxo
